Overview

The 2025-2026 Elbit America Dependent Scholarship Program provides the dependents of Elbit America employees an opportunity to apply for a $1,000 scholarship for the entire school year to help pay for their college expenses. 

Dependent Scholarship Guidelines and Eligibility 

The total number of awards will be determined by the number of qualified applicants and program budget. The Scholarship Committee will select applicants based on the content of their applications, including GPA's and student essays. Completed electronic applications, with all required documentation included, must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. CT on June 13, 2025.

Please be aware of the following guidelines and eligibility criteria for the scholarship program.

  • Applicant must be a dependent, as defined by IRS guidelines, of an eligible, active Elbit America employee.
  • Spouses and current interns are not eligible.
  • Applicant must be a new college entrant or returning undergraduate college student. Masters and PhD students are not eligible.
  • Documentation of a student’s GPA must be provided. Cumulative GPA must be at least 3.2 on a 4.0 grading scale (or an equivalent value on an alternate scale).
  • Multiple applicants from a single family will be considered, so as long as they each meet all the stated criteria.
  • A student may qualify for the scholarship in successive years.
  • Dependents of VP's or higher management will not be eligible.

Required Documentation

The following documentation is required to be considered for this scholarship award:

  • Proof of enrollment in an accredited academic institution as part of a two- or four-year undergraduate program. High school applicants must provide a formal written acceptance to a university or college. College students must provide proof of enrollment for the upcoming academic term (i.e. upcoming course schedule).
  • An official or unofficial transcript, displaying the student's current cumulative GPA. High school transcripts will be accepted for seniors. College students must provide a college or university transcript.
  • One letter of recommendation from a professional source. A professional source can be anyone who is familiar with the student’s educational or professional accomplishments. Examples include: teacher, faculty member, guidance counselor, supervisor, past employer, coach, preacher/spiritual advisor, etc. Parents and/or peers should not write the student’s letter of recommendation.

Short Essay Questions

Each applicant will be required to answer three short-essay questions, maximum of 500 words each. This year's prompts include:

  • What impact do you hope to make in your chosen field or industry, and how will this scholarship help you achieve that goal? If your major is still undecided, share with us an academic passion of yours and why it interests you.
  • Describe a personal accomplishment and the strengths and skills you used to achieve it.
  • Describe a time when you had to step out of your comfort zone and take a risk. What did you learn from the experience?

Notification of Award

Applicants will be notified of their award status by July 25, 2025. Scholarship checks will be made payable to each student directly. Employees should consult their tax advisors to ensure proper treatment of amounts received.
