Overview
The 2026-2027 Elbit America Dependent Scholarship Program provides the dependents of Elbit America employees an opportunity to apply for a $1,000 scholarship for the entire school year to help pay for their college expenses.
Dependent Scholarship Guidelines and Eligibility
The total number of awards will be determined by the number of qualified applicants and program budget. The Scholarship Committee will select applicants based on the content of their applications, including GPA's and student essays. Completed electronic applications, with all required documentation included, must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. CT on June 12, 2026.
Please be aware of the following guidelines and eligibility criteria for the scholarship program.
- Applicant must be a dependent, as defined by IRS guidelines, of an eligible, active Elbit America employee.
- Spouses and current interns are not eligible.
- Applicant must be a new college entrant or returning undergraduate college student. Masters and PhD students are not eligible.
- Documentation of a student’s GPA must be provided. Cumulative GPA must be at least 3.2 on a 4.0 grading scale (or an equivalent value on an alternate scale).
- Multiple applicants from a single family will be considered, so as long as they each meet all the stated criteria.
- A student may qualify for the scholarship in successive years.
- Dependents of VP's or higher management will not be eligible.
Required Documentation
The following documentation is required to be considered for this scholarship award:
- Proof of enrollment in an accredited academic institution as part of a two- or four-year undergraduate program. High school applicants must provide a formal written acceptance to a university or college. College students must provide proof of enrollment for the upcoming academic term (i.e. upcoming course schedule).
- An official or unofficial transcript, displaying the student's current cumulative GPA. High school transcripts will be accepted for seniors. College students must provide a college or university transcript.
- One letter of recommendation from a professional source. A professional source can be anyone who is familiar with the student’s educational or professional accomplishments. Examples include: teacher, faculty member, guidance counselor, supervisor, past employer, coach, preacher/spiritual advisor, etc. Parents and/or peers should not write the student’s letter of recommendation.
Short Essay Questions
Each applicant will be required to answer two short-essay questions, maximum of 500 words each. This year's prompts include:
- How do you hope your education will help you contribute to your community or industry/career path you are pursuing?
- Share an example of when you approached a problem in a creative or innovative way. What did you learn from the experience?
Notification of Award
Applicants will be notified of their award status by July 31, 2026. Scholarship checks will be made payable to each student directly. Employees should consult their tax advisors to ensure proper treatment of amounts received.
